SKF Cooper split spherical roller bearings

SKF Cooper split spherical roller bearings have two rows of symmetrical rollers, a common sphered outer ring raceway and two inner ring raceways inclined at an angle to the bearing axis. They are designed to accommodate heavy radial loads, combined with or without axial loads in both directions. The bearings are suited for both locating as well as non-locating bearing positions of shafts. Their split design makes them beneficial for inaccessible applications where mounting, dismounting and maintenance is a challenge. The split spherical roller bearings can be used in a number of different heavy-duty industries such as Mining, Mineral Processing and Cement.

The SKF Cooper split spherical roller bearings are available in two size ranges:

  • bore diameter from 140 to 200 mm, see product table below.
  • bore diameter from 240 to 450 mm.

Why use SKF Cooper split spherical roller bearings?

Increase your:

  • Productivity
  • Bearing reliability
  • Machine performance

Decrease your:

  • Mean time to repair (MTTR)
  • Worker exposure to accidents
  • Contaminant ingress

Shorten repair time by 70%

For customers looking for bearings designed to be easily replaced in situ with little disturbance to the shaft alignment or driveline, SKF Cooper sealed split spherical roller bearings offer a solution – typically reducing mean time to repair (MTTR) by 70%*.

* In-field reports of bearing changes for mining customers

Simplify maintenance to improve safety

With the SKF Cooper split spherical roller bearings, there is no need to dismount the drive coupling or the cantilevered drive to replace the bearing thus avoiding realignment. This greatly reduces the safety risk to workers. 43% of accidents in the mining and cement industry occur while workers perform maintenance or checks on conveyors.
